[Welding] Analysis of Total Welding Technology of Automobile Body in White

In automobile manufacturing enterprises, how to launch new products faster and update old products faster is the key to win the market. The product platform is the main means to launch new products quickly and save investment, so in the production line planning process, we must consider the product platform, consider the flexibility of the line. The total splicing technology is the key to the realization of flexible wire body and the most important part of welding flexible wire body. In the factory, the welding line body is more rigid than the coating and final assembly line body, and the product passability is poor. Therefore, how to realize the flexibility of the welding line body has been paid more and more attention by various automobile companies. Common general spell form, as follows: (1), translation type total spell (single model) The action sequence is as follows: the welding line conveys the lower body to the general assembly station → the side wall assembly is manually loaded onto the fixture → the fixture is translated into place → clamping and welding. The general form has the advantages of high positioning accuracy and reliability, and low investment cost. (2), flip translation type total spell (single model) The action sequence is as follows: the welding line conveys the lower body to the general assembly station → the side wall assembly is automatically loaded onto the horizontal fixture → the fixture is turned over to the vertical state after clamping → the fixture is translated into place and welded. The general assembly form has the advantages of high positioning accuracy and reliability, and can realize the advantages of automatic loading. (3), flip type total spell (single model) The action sequence is as follows: the welding line conveys the lower body to the general assembly station → the side wall assembly manually loading the parts to the inclined fixture → the fixture is clamped and turned to the vertical state → welding. The general form has the advantages of high positioning accuracy and reliability, low investment cost, but the operation space is small. (4), polyhedral total spell The polyhedral type of total assembly is based on the translational type of total assembly through the horizontal rotation of the drum rotation to achieve the replacement of the side fixture so as to achieve the purpose of flexibility. Up to 4 sets of side wall clamps can be installed to adapt to the switching of 4 models. Polyhedron total form technology is mature, the investment cost is relatively low, and the welding space is small. (5), OPEN GATE total spell OPEN GATE general assembly is a general assembly form that realizes flexible production through stacking method on the basis of translational general assembly. The switching of fixtures and models can be realized only in one general assembly station, and its action sequence can refer to translational general assembly. Its characteristics are that the model can be debugged separately without affecting the normal production of the model; the body welding stability is good, and the accuracy requirements for sheet metal parts are relatively low; the technology maturity is high, and the subsequent models are convenient to increase; the space is large; the cost of one-time investment is high. (6), Geotack total spell Geotack general assembly also relies on the switching of side wall tooling to realize flexible production at the same station. The difference with OPEN GATE is that it adopts an independent flip-type assembly mechanism with its side wall tooling. Its action sequence can refer to the flip-type total spell. The general assembly form has the characteristics of high degree of flexibility, stable precision and less impact on the current production after the introduction of the model. At present, the third passenger car factory of our company adopts the general assembly form. (7), the robot total spell In the general assembly form of the robot, the robot should undertake both welding and positioning work. The general assembly welding of different side wall bodies is realized by switching the robot gripper. Mainly divided into three 1. The side wall is an integral gripper. After the robot grips the side wall, it is placed in the general assembly station. The gripper acts as a clamp, and the gripper is locked by a locking device. This form requires a high load on the robot. 2. The side grab is divided into two independent parts, front and rear, which is more flexible for the transformation of hatchbacks and sedan cars of the same model and models with longer body length. 3. The side wall adopts split type general assembly, the same part of the side wall adopts (GATE) propulsion device, and the different parts adopt robot switching gripper. This form requires less robot load than the form of the side-enclosed integral gripper. (8). Built-in general assembly Its characteristics are: there is no traditional side wall clamp frame, the entire clamp falls from the top of the non-roof body assembly, and the clamp chuck is clamped from the inside of the body. The use of built-in clamps makes the welding tongs easier to approach the welding parts than frame clamps, has good welding processability, and can maximize the concentration of spot welding robots. The number of welding spots welded at the total splicing station is large, which can effectively ensure the body quality. In addition, the built-in fixture is hoisted from the top by mechanized equipment, and a general fixture library can be set on the second floor of this station, which is convenient to switch the side fixture, so as to realize flexibility and small floor area.
