According to the latest data from China Bus Statistics Information Network, in 2017, the domestic bus industry sold 246548 buses over 5 meters, a year-on-year decrease of 6.83. Among them, 50012 vehicles were sold in December, up 7.26 percent year on year.

Specific to enterprises, among the more than 40 bus companies that China Bus Statistics Information Network focuses on, in 2017, the top 15 bus companies with sales of more than 5 meters sold 216300 vehicles, accounting for 87.73 percent, reflecting a strong industry concentration.

As can be seen from the ranking, Yutong Bus continues to be the top seller in December and 2017, and deserves to be the leader in the industry. Fukuda Ouhui followed closely, ranking second in the 2017 sales list, showing a good development trend. Zhongtong Bus ranked third, together with Yutong Bus and Futian Ouhui, the three enterprises became the only enterprises in the industry to sell more than 20000 vehicles in 2017. The fourth place is BYD, an enterprise mainly engaged in pure electric buses, with annual sales of 13308 vehicles. The fifth place is Xiamen Jinlong, with annual sales of 10837 vehicles. The sixth place is Xiamen Golden Brigade, with annual sales of 10753 vehicles. The seventh place is Nanjing Jinlong, with an annual sales volume of 10368 vehicles. It is also an enterprise with pure electric buses as its leading products. Together with the previous six enterprises, they constitute the enterprise camp of the "10,000-car club" sold in 2017. The eighth place is Suzhou Jinlong, with an annual sales volume of 9082 vehicles, which reflects the tough corporate character and strong rejuvenation ability of Suzhou Jinlong Haige Bus. The ninth place is Ankai bus and the tenth place is Dongfeng Chaolong.

What attracts people's attention is that in December 2017, some enterprises caught up with each other and saw a blowout in sales. For example, Nanjing Jinlong sold 5153 vehicles in December, ranking second in the sales list of that month; Shanghai Shenlong sold 3557 vehicles in December, ranking fourth in the sales list of that month; and Yaxing bus sold 2236 vehicles in December, ranking sixth in the sales list of that month.
