In 2017, new energy vehicles all over the world have made great progress and have become a symbol of the transformation and upgrading of the global automobile industry. In 2017, the sales of new energy vehicles in major countries in the world exceeded 1.42 million, and China reached 777000, accounting for 2.69 of new car sales. The cumulative global sales of new energy vehicles have exceeded 3.4 million, of which more than 50% are electric vehicles in China.
New progress has also been made in the research and development and industrialization of key technology components. The technological progress of key materials for power batteries has been accelerated, the performance indicators of power batteries have been steadily improved, and the low-temperature performance, safety research and comprehensive promotion of ternary materials have been developed rapidly. The production capacity has reached 200G watt-hours, basically meeting the needs of the industrialization and market... The direction of pure electric drive development, the most suitable carrier for intelligence is new energy vehicles, in terms of intelligent power systems, we should focus more on algorithms, chips and other key technologies that are the most basic commonality.
We should realistically see that the internal combustion engine will be driven independently or in the form of hybrid power for a considerable period of time, especially for China's large passenger transport, large freight transport, large shipping, large agriculture and other fields. it also has a wide range of market requirements. We must continue to improve policy innovation and maintain policy continuity. In terms of finance and taxation, while firmly withdrawing financial subsidies for electric vehicles in 2020, the Ministry of Finance, the State Administration of Taxation, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Science and Technology have clearly extended preferential measures for vehicle purchase tax. At the same time, the automobile energy-saving points system and the corresponding incentive system are also about to be completed. Policy efforts are still needed to speed up the carbon trading system, support for business innovation models, and expand the share of new energy vehicles. In the future international cooperation and industrial competition, we need to gather the strength of government, industry, university and research, give full play to the advantages of innovation, strengthen international cooperation, work hard, and strive to achieve the goal of our country's automobile industry from large to strong.

Charging infrastructure is still a short board for development. At present, the ratio of vehicles to piles in our country is only 3.5: 1, and the number of public charging piles planned to be built in 2020 is about 500000. If we look at the annual production and sales volume of 2 million vehicles and the number of 5 million vehicles in 2020, we will not only fail to optimize this index, but also further deteriorate this index.
On the other hand, the layout of charging facilities is not reasonable enough, the utilization rate of public charging piles is less than 15%, and a sustainable business development model has not yet been formed. There is a two-way contradiction between the difficulty of profitability of operating enterprises and the high charging price of consumers. The policy system still needs to be improved. In the case of the gradual withdrawal of monetization support policy, the use of access facilities and other follow-up replacement policies need to be studied in advance, pay close attention to the layout.
The convergence of support policies between various departments of the central government and between the central government and local governments is not sufficient. Different forms of local protectionism still exist. Some cities have set up local catalogs, which has greatly compressed the space for consumers to choose models, resulting in the fragmentation of the market and inhibiting the vitality of development. The core technology needs further breakthroughs. From the perspective of the whole vehicle, most of our new generation of pure electric drive platforms have not been included in the enterprise's R & D plan, and most of the existing platforms are modified platforms using the original fuel vehicles. The gap between fuel cell vehicles and the international advanced level is still widening, and the innovation system with enterprises as the main body and the combination of production, education, research and application still needs to be improved.
Subsidy policy adjustment is imperative. If we postpone the one-time adjustment until the end of 2020, it is better to release the pressure of adjustment in stages so that everyone can smoothly ride out the impact of the retreat. At the same time, it is necessary to further improve the marketing and service systems of financial credit, insurance, leasing, and second-hand car transactions for new energy vehicles, accelerate the establishment of a market-oriented points trading platform, provide multiple trading methods and functions, and study and formulate points economic management measures. Activate the points trading market. Advance study and release the requirements for the proportion of new energy vehicle points after 2020, and accelerate the establishment of a commercial vehicle points management system.

In 2017, Changan Automobile sold 2.872 million vehicles, ranking fourth among China Automobile Group. Among them, 1.663 million self-owned brand cars were sold, ranking first among Chinese brands. BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu
BYD made products earlier. We have almost 110000 pure electric and plug-in hybrid new energy passenger cars together, more than 14000 electric buses and more than 2000 electric trucks, which together are about 130000. This is what BYD did in 2017.
Under the great promotion of the national system, the development of new energy vehicles in China is advancing along the route of energy-saving and new energy vehicle development planning. With the current growth rate of production and sales of 50%, the production capacity of pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles will reach 2 million by 2020, with a cumulative output of more than 5 million vehicles, which is expected to be realized ahead of schedule.
The data of our research shows that plug-in hybrid vehicles are still the mainstream of global private car development.
We believe that PHEV can not only meet the requirements of double points, but also solve the market's expectation of driving range, and can resolve the negative effects of subsidy decline on the new energy vehicle industry.
