On October 10, 2020, the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "New Energy Vehicle Power Battery Ladder Utilization Management Measures", and will be open to the public for comments.

 

According to the document, echelon utilization enterprises are encouraged to develop and produce echelon products suitable for the fields of base station power backup, energy storage, charging and changing, and are not allowed to develop echelon products that are not easy to recycle, such as charging treasure and hand-held lighting equipment. Encourage the use of leasing, large-scale utilization and other business models that facilitate the recycling of products.

 

In addition, echelon utilization enterprises are encouraged to cooperate with enterprises in the production of new energy vehicles, the production of power batteries and the recycling and dismantling of scrapped motor vehicles, so as to strengthen information sharing, make use of existing recycling channels, and efficiently recycle used power batteries for echelon utilization.
