As a common means of transportation, automobile is an important product to expand domestic demand. As one of the four assemblies of the vehicle, the body has an important impact on the assembly, safety, ergonomics, economy and perception of the vehicle products. With the increasing diversification and individuation of people's demand for automobiles, body design and manufacturing are becoming more and more important. Body-in-white welding is a key process in the body manufacturing process, and the welding quality determines the manufacturing quality of the whole vehicle. As far as the current domestic welding industry is concerned, there are many ways to form the body-in-white assembly, and positioning tooling is used to combine the lower body, left side wall, right side wall and roof into a load-bearing body structure.

When the vehicle type is switched, the positioning tooling is mostly switched as a whole. This kind of positioning tooling overall switching mode, not only complex structure, large area, and long switching time. Based on this, there is a need for a device with a compact structure and high positioning accuracy to improve the molding accuracy of the vehicle body.
The combined equipment is a large-scale equipment used to combine standard car bodies. It adopts the principle of external positioning to complete the hoisting, positioning, clamping, combined assembly and welding of the six large parts of the skeleton. It is the key equipment to realize mechanization, batch and streamlined operation of bus body production. Using this equipment can improve the stability of body quality, improve production efficiency and realize large-scale production.
Body-in-white frame assembly process
1. General equipment
First check whether the combined equipment is in good condition, and then adjust the position of the positioning block according to the carpool type.
2. Side wall positioning
Hoist the left and right side walls to the inner side of the main splicing table. After adjusting the front and rear positions, hang the side walls on the corresponding positioning plate of the equipment and clamp them.

3. Underframe positioning
Push the underframe placed on the trolley tooling into the center of the assembly tooling along the track, and adjust the front and rear positions. Lift the underframe with four jacks so that it is aligned with the skirt member of the side wall and measure it with a leveller.
4. Side wall closing
Press the close button to make the side wall gradually close to the bottom frame of the main assembly tooling center to realize the closing of the side wall and the bottom frame. When the side wall and the corresponding part of the bottom frame are in contact with each other, the button can be released. When the side wall and the bottom frame are closed in place, press the locking button again.

5. Adjust the lap welding
Adjust according to the requirements of the drawing. If it does not meet the requirements, use F-clamp to adjust, and lap weld after adjustment.
6. Front wall closed
Use a crane to lift the front wall to the front of the main platform and gradually move it closer to the underframe. Adjust the position between the front wall, the underframe and the side wall, and repeatedly adjust it, and check the overlap of other parts, and then lap welding.
7. Rear closure
Use a crane to lift the rear wall to the rear of the main splicing table, gradually move it closer to the underframe, adjust the position between the rear wall, the underframe and the side wall, repeatedly adjust, and check the opening size of the side window frame and the overlap of other parts, and then carry out lap welding.

8. Cover closure
Use a crane to lift the top cover to the top of the main platform, and slowly move it down, and gradually connect it with the side wall and front and rear enclosure.
9. Push-out lap welding
After the lap welding of the whole vehicle frame is completed, press the release button to open the locator on the tooling, and then press the return button to gradually return the combined equipment to its original position, then lower the jack to return the whole body frame to the tooling trolley, and push it away from the assembly background to weld the whole vehicle.
The new body-in-white assembly is combined with the forming structure frame as the foundation. The left side wall positioning tooling, the right side wall positioning tooling and the upper positioning tooling are attached to the frame, and the bottom positioning tooling is used to position the body-in-white assembly. The positioning tooling structure is simplified, the forming accuracy of the body-in-white is improved, and the vehicle switching time is reduced.
